Think about HOW MUCH unbelievable bands you will get for this little bit of flight money! Entrance is free. So how much is this per band? Not so much. These times are gone, since she's without a job now. But if you are not fixed on getting direct flights, it can be done on a cheap(er) way. In Europe you have a couple of websites that check the latest air fares on a daily basis: vakantiepiraten.nl in Dutch or urlaubspiraten.de in German. I don't know if there are similar websites in the USA. A couple of weeks ago the Dutch site had an article about flying from Europe to Seattle for about 300-400 Euro's. The trick is to combine cheap tickets, for instance fly from Dusseldorf to Stockholm with a cheap flight (like germanwings or airryan) and from there to Reykjavik and then to Seattle with a stopover somewhere in the USA. OK with all stopovers, you are traveling for a long time, sometimes close to 60 hrs one way. And you have to spend a lot of time on really expensive airports (airport bars are the most expensive pubs in the world). So if you have enough time and want to puzzle a bit, it can be done! I hope you all find a save and payable way to get to Livorno.
