Does one of these Boston area bands start with an "N"? (not counting the "The") OMG

Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but the two (well, three) bands from Massachusetts talking to me as of now does not include the Nebulas.

The Nebulas have been contacted about playing the Summit, but they have not responded to our overtures. Yet.

Latest Update:

I'm just about ready to announce the daily lineups for 2013. Sunday looks good, but I've got a few loose ends to tie up on Friday and Saturday. Cross your fingers, and hopefully I can start crowing by the end of week.

Yes

Even without nebulous responses to your overtures, I'm sure we'll hear a symphony.

Instro music + dry rub BBQ seems like a good Surfin' Safari.

This place is in Durham...

Instro music + dry rub BBQ seems like a good Surfin' Safari.

This place is in Durham...

There is good BBQ to be had in Durham (including the Backyard BBQ Pit; it's a dump inside, but the 'cue is good. I know Donald, the owner). Maybe we could get a mess of out of towners to rendezvous at Bullock's for a proper Southern Family-style feeding (I took both the Space Rangers and 9th Wave there a few years back; a feast was had).

However...I should note that dry rub BBQ is a pretty rare sight in Cacklacky. That's more of a Tennessee thang. Everything here is either plain or lightly seasoned with a bit o' vinegar and some red pepper.

--Crispy

Crispy, I'm in for whatever you do. Backyard BBQ, Bullock's. Whatever. Is there going to ba a Jam, Wacked Like Link contest and Rumble play-off again?

This is Noel. Reverb's at maximum an' I'm givin' 'er all she's got.

Take it from Crispy, his bona fides include a 2 DVD set on NC BBQ - "Hoppie & Crispy's BBQ Tour". The man knows what he's talkin' about when it comes to some Q.

Thumbs Up

Yeah, those are all in the cards, plus a bunch of special tribute acts, all planned for Saturday afternoon, which looks to be epic by our standards.

The "final" lineups have just been sent out to the bands for approval. Hopefully I'll get the high sign from everyone soon.

Crispy! You've out-done yourself. This is an incredible, stunning, ear-numbing musical fantasmagorical extravaganza. Room recommendations, please!

Noel--I'm currently trying to set up a deal with the Hampton Inn on Duke Street, not too far away from the Casbah. This is the week I hope to nail this down (along with the majority of our sponsors) so stay tuned, and hopefully I'll have a deal in the works by Saturday.

--Crispy

Crispy, be sure to contact Bob Walk(Surf King Surf Wear). He is very interested in sponsoring.
