Hey guys... Marty was truly blown away and all the fuss made over his B-day. He deserves it. He has supported the scene for so long... it was great to show him how much we all appreciate him. All the bands were killer. Dave, the guy who played acoustic guitar for the girl (non surf music intermission) was really blown away at the musician-ship of the bands he saw (Tiki Shakers) and Dave's mellow Slacktone deal. Like most people, he never had been exposed to surf music and when he saw the caliber of the bands showing up to play for free for a friend's b-day, he was incredibly impressed. I think he left before we played, so he did't ruin his opinion when we crashed and burned on "Night Train Wreck"! Thanks again everyone! Ted from the Det's |

I have no idea what that last song was. If you know please post the name so I can fix it! I also missed most of Jon Blair & Marty Tippens set because I was late. I also missed The Boardwalkers because I was getting station IDs for my radio show. If anyone has some videos of these please post them. |
