Bangers is great, and so are the tunes you posted on FaceBook. Eastwood Outlaw and Boogie Bored, to me, show a lot of range and are terrific tunes.
Add me to the list of people waiting for an LP.

I just had to share this. The guy really slaps his bass. You have to play the video.

I'll admit I'm not really into Maiden, but I'm really drawn to the Steve Harris Signature bass. Am I the only one who thinks this would look hot in a surf band with its flake blue finish---yes, even with BadAss bridge, chrome pickguard and all? Like surf meets hot rod.

Wanted that bass since he stared using it.
Even more so now, I think it's very surf/hot rod looking.

Hi,
I am not a bass player.
BUT: I have to learn it now...
I could not resist to buy a Yamaha SBV bass! In metallic blue with matching head! I will receive it in a week or so. Whooohooooo!!!!!
So will get a bass player beginner`s DVD or something...
Or should I get a Steve Harris book at first? Better not!
For those of you who don`t know this bass, here it is with the Surf Coasters:

I had forgotten about the Steve Harris bass. Very cool look. Coincidentally, I have two jars of strato blue metal flake waiting to be applied to a J bass parts bass, a VM Jazzmaster and a set of Rogers drums that we’ll be using in the near future.

Nice! And I think Nobuhiro is a great all around role model on bass. Great punk energy and amazing stage presence! Congrats on the bass...

Hope so. I should have all the paint and materials. Just need some free weekends and decent weather to knock them out. Plus, I've got this one to finish too. Not exactly Surf but, I'm going to play it anyway...

Gold anodized guard, no less. Trippy! Maybe work a little "Animated Egg" into the set? Cool project...

Oh, no concrete plans yet.
I think it will open me a bit more musical horizons if I could also play bass a bit.
And maybe more rhythmic feeling for guitar!?
Of course we will see what the future will bring!: )
Ah, what kind of amp do I need??? I think I need different amps?
Or could I use a simple Fender Showman Amp? Didn`t The Ventures used also Showman amp for bass???

It depends on how much volume and how much clean headroom you need/want. A Showman with a single 15 would work great for many situations. I use a Bassman 100T with either a single or two 15s. At a 100Ws and 1x15 though, it can distort more than some would want at volume.
