Thank you everyone who posted Congrats on getting a band Together.
And For all the band name ideas. I would love to have Tiki In there
somehow, But it's a group effort and I am not the only say in the
matter. But I do want to have a side project of Mellow Surf stuff/
Exotica/Salsa type band. And I'll probablly have full controll of
that.
As for songs we are doing right now, Guitar player loves Dick Dale.
So we are doing
Shake and Stomp
Misserlou
Taco Wagon
The Wedge
Surf Beat
Mr. Moto
Pipeline
Squad Car
And Hopefully Baja, But I doubt it, He doesnt know it yet.
We have only been together for 2 months,and had 5 practices.
(Ron) has been playin Guitar for 2 years and is pretty good
considering.
I have been Playin Bass for 15 years but never been in a band, or
learned a whole song all the way through.Until 2 months ago.
As for the Drummer(Travis) He is the son Of Corvette Sandy and is
15 years old, and has been playing for 10 years(I'm told)He is very
good, Probably our best member
And On Sax is Jim Frias of(Nocturnes Fame)He sit's in on 4 of the
8 songs so far. But we plan to learn lots of old hidden Sax greats
and write some good songs for him Wail over.
I've been friends with Jim and Ron since I met them while
Volentering at the Surf Museum, and we've been wanting to do a band
together for awhile now.
