I have a Vista series Super-Sonic. I replaced the pickups with Seymour
Duncans and then added push/pull pots so I could coil tap the humbuckers. I
didn't want to mess with getting a different pickguard (for the extremely
rare Super-Sonic shape). You may consider coil-tapping if you don't want
mess with getting single coils. You may have problems getting P-90's to fit
on a Jagmaster.
The Super-Sonic I have has a nice neck, but maybe too narrow (think A-width)
and somewhat thin. In general the build, fit, and finish is very good for a
"cheap" guitar. I tried out a newer non-Vista Series Jagmaster and found it
to be extremely unlikeable. Sharp fret edges, unsanded feel, handled like a
plank, ugly finish. Your mileage may vary of course... :)
