I would have preferred to play Tidal Wave {Slacktone
song} but, shit happens. After Dick played, I came up
to say hello to him, tell him that I really enjoy
hearing him play, etc., knowing that I could get a
less than warm reaction after just playing Miserlou.
By the way, I didn't know he was there during our set.
He was very cordial to me, and even complimented me on
my playing. I told him I used to be in Jon and the
Nightriders, and reminded him of the gig we played
together at the Santa Monic Civic in 1980 to which he
responded "I'm glad to see you're still playing".
