I don't see it so grey, Jeff. Where rock and roll fans are concerned,
we all associate "Miserlou" with Dick Dale. Just as in the pop vocal we
associate "New York, New York" with Frank Sinatra or "Moon River" with
Andy Williams, "Thanks for the Memories" with Bob Hope. None of those
guys wrote the song yet those songs belong to them.
