Unsteady Freddie, the "Ed Sullivan of Surf", the indefatigable world travelling surf fan, emcee, and owner of the world famous magic camera which has documented so many surf shows for all of us, is celebrating an imporant milestone. This year marks the ten year anniversary of his monthly SURF ROCK SHINDIG shows he puts on at Otto's Shrunken Head in New York City!
To comemorate this amazing achievement, Freddie is hosting two special SHINDIG events, one in May and one in June.
Performers for these events include The Clams, The Howlin' Thurstons, The Supertones, The Coffin Daggers, El Muchacho, Bongo Surf, The Tarantinos NYC, Mister Neutron, Ninth Wave, and Strange But Surf!

This 10-Year 2-Month Anniversary has so much to do with You, Your tireless efforts to keep the instrumental reverb junkies in one place, you've taught us internet etiquette. This is my little piece of doing the same, by setting out to create a literal "Surf Scene" and it has stuck!! Thanks to Otto's Shrunken Head, the many bands that have played their hearts and fingers out, and the many friends and fans who have passed thru my shows, and been so kind to me at the many shows I have attended and/or hosted/emceed.
