Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum Presents: Surfin Sundays 12th Summer Concert Season

Special announcement:  Our Surfin Sundays Grand Finale will play host once again to the HB Lion’s Club BBQ fundraiser in our parking lot during this event with all donations going to HBISM.

BANDS:

The Surf Rockers:  Playing the traditional surf music sounds of Dick Dale this versatile energetic group has surfing and musical roots embedded deep in their souls.  This band features lead guitarist Norm Cowell, taught by Dick Dale himself, original 60’s Dick Dale Band members Nick O’Malley and Steve Ashoft as well as Ray Mangigian from the 60’s on Sax and other younger set players to enhance this amazing lineup.  They knocked our socks off at Pier Plaza Aug 3^rd and are sure to do the same at this event.

Glasgow Tiki Shakers: Bill Mc Glynn, Joyce and Bruce are real crowd pleasers with their incredible talent that runs the gamut from Quiet Village to traditional music to the more modern sounds of the 3^rd Wave.  Joyce Seiko is the most dynamite female bass player you will ever hear and being from the 60’s Bill & Bruce can really set your feet to dancing.

Pounding Surf! The Art of Surf Drumming DVD Drum Release Concert Extraordinaire:

On Aug 3^rd at Pier Plaza we released this DVD after 3 years of extremely painstaking efforts on the part of many key players, writers, producers & co-producers.  We decided this venture has been so successful that we should celebrate and share its success with all of you who supported this labor of love.  Co-Producer Bob Colwell will be on hand as well as featuring Paul Johnson, Dusty Watson, Matt Quilter and a host of other legends and special guests. Pounding Surf! DVD will be on sale during this event at a discounted price.

We encourage you to join us for the last concert of the season celebrating 12 years of great music from dedicated musicians who donate their precious time in support of the museum.
