Amsterdam (NL) based band. A band with latin-american rythm influences and not that much reverb you'll expect from a surfband. It's obvious they like the shadows and the ventures.
The Sinisters are a 4-piece reverb-drenched, "wet and fuzzy" instrumental surf band. Formed in early 2012 in Phoenix, AZ, The Sinisters influences include everything from the classic '60s sound of the Avengers VI and The Lively Ones to '90s bands such as The Bomboras, The Ghastly Ones and The Witchdoctors. The Sinisters find inspiration in classic horror and sci-fi films from the 60s and 70s, and incorporate a theremin and vintage Halloween sound effect records into their music to lend their sound a unique and spooky flavor. Dedicated to classic surf music in South Wales UK. Formed in 2010, with our first covers album recorded in December 2010 for family and friends. We regularly play at the South Wales Shadows Club on the second tuesday of the month and are always looking for extra venues to play. Our second cover album is in the making November 2011, with a third planned for our own original tracks in 2012. Find us on Myspace too.
