Indeed the break angle was larger with the MB. I'm gonna try it again, with less break angle if possible, and see if it changes anything. Thanks for the comments guys.

Ya, locktite does the job. Use a low grade to allow for easier adjustments. If you have issues trying to turn them in the future, simply heat them some with the tip of a hot soldering iron.
I use a small strip of black open cell foam to deaden the annoying (to me anyway) post bridge string drone. I did this on all my offsets and my ES-355 as well.
My version of the "mastery bridge." Home machined brass saddles.

I'm retired Jeff......what would I want with a job?
Need saddles, just yell.
I think I owe Brian a set.

I had to Locktite the Mastery too initially... Now it's perfect! (AVRI JM owner)
No logical reason the resonance behind the bridge would be less with a Mastery bridge, if installed to the same final angle as the original. It's not magical, the mechanics stay the same. There's a contact point at the nut, a point at the bridge and a point at the tail.
The feel is definitely different, I have faster attack and less "ambiguity". What I guess people are missing is the string rattle on the round, uneven, unstable, screw-like original saddles.
My theory is this: The Mastery's edge is sharper, preserves more of the original string vibrations (including those behind the bridge!), thus resulting in a cleaner, maybe a bit louder sound. Some don't like it I guess, I definitely do, but even more so, the extra stability and ease of use.

I have tried the MB again, paying attention to keep the same break angle than for the original one, and I finally get the string resonance ! I probably had a bad setup for my initial trial. I think I'll keep the MB then . Now I don't hear any strong differences in the sound between the two bridges, but I don't have a good amp here to try the guitar in correct conditions so that's hard to tell.
