Im not sure why Vol 2 sold out so far before vol's 1, 3 and 4, but it did. Haven't looked recently, but not long ago you could still get 1, 3 and 4 new for 'regular' CD prices.

A couple years ago, Sundazed re-released on Vinyl as 2 Double LP's, which I picked up. They sound pretty great, even if it is only 80-90% of the tracks from the origianl 4 CD collection. Sundazed vinyl re-pressing releases seem to always get it right in the quality department.

I highly recommend buying them if you have a working record player. The one pot-shot I'd take at Sundazed vinyl... seems they haven't bought into accompanying LP's w/download cards for convenience.

I got 1,3 and 4. I thought about the vinyl but like you say 80% is not whole. Plus OCD for complete set. These are among the 1st surf music I ever bought and to me are just the best.

It's Aloha Monday, so I'm streaming KPOA from Maui. When I was a kid it was amazing to listen to distant radio stations, often from Chicago, late at night with static and fade in and out. Now you hear them from all over the planet clean and clear on the 'net.

Happy Sunsets!

That's so cool!
When I was a kid I loved flipping the dial while laying in bed at night, in the dark, all types of music from places I dreamed of visiting, seeing. The music that always caught my ear was from some far away station, static, me trying carefully to turn the dial just that little bit to get the station in better....Fun days of discovery.
Kind of like "dropping the needle" on the turntable to learn songs.
Aloha!

Cheers,
Jeff

That's a good thing indeed because I can tell you that Solar Cycle 24 (and these things are 11 years in duration) is in the toilet right now as to propagation.

Well said Badger, the HF bands are terriblllleeeeeee! But I digress.

Currently listening to some SRV. After A listening spree on Continental magazine discs in the truck.

I am not obsolete, I am RETRO.... Cool

If anyone is interested in listening to long distance radio stations from around the world, a place I visit is Radio Garden dot com. It's an audio version of Google Earth. Hope this doesn't ruin your plans for today. It can get addicting if you're a traveler and want to return to a place you've been before.

One of the many reasons I like you Wes, because you know things like this.

Ha! The usual language I use in encountering this is not something I use around my grand-daughters (although Morse continues to work 'cause it makes few demands on Mother Nature). C'mon sunspots.
Cool

Oh, well back to the music.
