Cool

Love that CD cover!

I'm currently listening to a mix of early Calexico songs. Was browsing youtube when I found this gem. Damn! Joey can play. I miss when his tone was like this, now it's all softer and pop friendly (gross!).

Dumb Loud Hollow Twang. Always great!

Vampire beach Babes- Reckless summer with songs like " Gothic surf a rama" Fun stuff to listen too.

I am not obsolete, I am RETRO.... Cool

The new Bradipos IV lp. Love it!

The north sea downloads from the NSSR donation page. I've listened to this about 100 times since donating. It always makes me feel good about the world wide spread of the love affair. Smile

I traded this one and the Reverb Brazil compilation for a Aloha Sluts EP & CD at the Surfer Joe Festival 2 weeks ago... BEST TRADE EVER!!!!

The Gasolines are the most played band in our house of the last 2 weeks!
This CD is so rich of influences (Link Wray, South American Folk, Surf), it swings from beginning 'till the end! This one is like anti depresion medicine, it makes me smile everytime! Oh... and also great for a romantic evening with the wife Big Grin

A whole bunch of different stuff keeps cycling thru the monitors. 3 of these are via tremendous kindness from 2 members here. I don't want to embarass them so will just say parenthetically THANK YOU Jeff (who lives in Garageland & ventured to SoCal recently for some convention or other) & Ed (who I think is adrift in some boathouse working on God knows what... but she's probably a blonde). First class human beings.
