A price of going through Bob Dalley's book (just the A's...) Picard Face Palm

Besides the cool pressing, the cover folds out to reveal some AWESOME liner notes written by... who else... John Blair. John, for your devotion to the historiography of this music

LESS PEDALS AND MORE PRACTICE!

I found this French based multi-culture band through YouTube. It's like traditional Indian sitar music set in a modern electronic framework with some occasional spacy reggae dub. "Masaladosa - Chill Aum" is the one I'm liking most.

The Shrunken Head Lounge via Surf Rock Radio. The Cherry Drops are the featured band. They'd just wrapped up an interview/show wit ye Stickmeister Dusty Watson.

Recently i was at concert of the Coffin Wheels, so i decided to listen it again.

Lately i've been listening to ccr john fogerty
great voice and nice songs.

In anticipation for tonight's show, I am listening to Godspeed You Black Emperor.

Dark post-rock instro awesomeness. If the apocalypse had a soundtrack, GYBE would be playing it.

The Mustangs, "Turning the Tide"

Recorded from 2002-2003, with liner notes by Alan Taylor & Dave Burke at Pipeline magazine. Really digging it, all the way from Russian Roulette, to a novel rendition of Squad Car. Enjoying these guys & glad I found it.

Steve n Seagulls.... A Finish band doing unique versions of rock/metal classics. Gotta love the banjo. Guitar

I am not obsolete, I am RETRO.... Cool

teiscofan where's the video bro.

Into the Blue Sparkle. I know that this has been around since 2000 but I couldn't find a copy of it and I wanted a cd. I've been watching all the usual sources and just bought a copy that looks like new for $10 with shipping. I'm very happy to add it to my collection! Smile

Thumbs Up It's never too late - that one gets in a person's blood.

I think you can buy that directly from Dave. That's how I got mine. Whatever it takes to get it though, great album!

Neil

All I wish I knew what they were talking about

Palo you can find several videos on YouTube of Steve n Seagulls. They are also on iTunes audio wise. They also have a webpage. It's hooky and hearing Iron. Maiden or ACDC or the mighty Zep done with this style is awesome! That and it inspired me to pick up the banjo again.

I am not obsolete, I am RETRO.... Cool

Steve n Seagulls.i found them ,they are good.

Lorenzo & Co., the Wadadli Riders' Made in Antigua. This album just puts my happy trad face on. Think I'll cue this up with a few other Euro bands (and some Crazy Aces for good measure) when I do taxes next week. Like over-the-loudspeaker meds.
Cool

The Last Shadow Puppets are Alex Turner (Artic Monkeys) and Miles Kane (ex The Rascals. I've always liked the way Artic Monkeys slide drenched reverb in and out of their songs - occasionally.. The collaboration goes a step further.

Some Japanese Shoegaze from My Dead Girlfriend, gotta be one of my favourite bands

Queasy, Jittered, Uneasy

I woke up this morning with Calexico in my head. So it's been a southwest desert Americana instro kind of morning. The kind of music you'd listen to on a desert road trip to nowhere.

It started with some early Calexico, then on to Jimmy Wilsey, then to The Vanduras, and now I'm listening to the Volebeats. Next up is Friends of Dean Martinez.
