I'm crushed, because I signed up for informative posts such as this one:

i think a good amp would be the fender frontman 25R. i got one last week to use as a backup for my super reverb that likes to break down alot and i love that little thing.
It appears that the rockfish comment you quote was in reference to a question from someone who had never owned an electric guitar or amp and was looking for advice on a first purchase. It would seem then that recommending a Frontman was not absurd. But, your reaction does demonstrate what I often see on this site: people who give opinions without any reference to a person's budget or particular needs and treat any suggestion that they don't agree with as crap.
I know rockfish. Clearly he was out of line with the Canada comment, but he's not a bad guy, even if he does write crap about the Ventures or takes every opportunity to recommend Reverend guitars. At least now he will be singing the praises of Gretsch guitars.

No, once again you missed my point. Entirely.
Have you considered taking up misinterpreting what you read as a profession?
My comment was regarding Fishy claiming to be building Showman clones....when he doesn't have the skill to repair his Super.
GET IT?
No, i am pretty sure i said that jr smith was going to do the showmans.
I don't have the time to sit around and solder for 8 hours a day, but i was going to prep the chassis and build the heads and solder when needed. My super was a heavily rigged silverface monster that JR created, and only he could work on it.
I think that fishy smell is coming from your..... haha nevermind.
One more thing, REVEREND guitars are sweet!!! and gretsch, i think.

To be fair, Zak, he never said they were functional. For all we know, the speakers are made of tinfoil and instant coffee, and the tone ring came from a box of Cracker Jacks.

As for me i've built bassman heads and alot of deluxes, some from scratch and some silverface conversions.

I know what i wrote, and i have, but i wasn't building the showmans. Give it up dude, you have nothing on me. Everytime you make another post trying to burn me with pictures of cute kitty cats, you prove my point that you and a select few members of this forum are @&%*$.
Zak spends alot of time here because this is where he can sound like a know it all and have his ego stroked by his buds. hmm should i insert a pic. of a cat here....nah
