The guy could play. Nice Telecaster. What is the metallic object behind the bridge?

I think it's something like metallic tape behind the bridge, from when he used to have an effects box attached to the guitar. Similar to the "Les Paulverizer" he had seen Les use, and made himself.

I feel lucky to have seen Gatton in a small club in Sacramento in the 80s. The kind where I could stand like 10 feet from the guy and just watch in awe. He did a version of "In My Room" that is similar in approach to this clip. What an amazing musician.

Danny Gatton is one of those guys that is just mindboggling to watch or listen too. Just when you think you've seen the most incredible riff or trick, he pulls out another, even cooler one....Kind of like watching Ivan and the Madeira last week.
