I picked this up at used record sale, I never heard of the Surf Raiders before, but I loved this LP.image

The Surf Raiders were Bob Dalley's Band. Here's a review.

All For A Few Perfect Waves by The Supertones. There are a number of really great songs on this recording. Check out the title track, Paradise Point, and Divine Invasion.

So true. This one has been under the radar for many. Great warm tones through out, very chillax vibe. Timmy & Co have a real gem here, IMO. Don't let it go under your radar any longer!

This is a great set of surfrock tunes from Finland.
Many fresh sounds and some really strong tracks.

El Supernaut

I've heard about this band and this CD - it features
the lead guitarist and original drummer from the
Lunatics, whom I love. I just checked out the myspace
site (thanks for the link!) and the tracks sound great!
A bit more surfy compared to the Lunatics, but you can
definitely hear the connection between two two bands .
Will definitely be picking this one up! (I had been
wondering whatever happened to the Lunatics - now I
know!)

I got this CD a few weeks ago, and I cannot overemphasize how great it is! Sheer brilliance!! The musicianship is just remarkable, the songwriting is about as good as it gets, and the covers are right up my alley. Can't get enough! Remember, you can hear the first part of all the songs here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/el-supernaut/id416888978 The album is only $10.99 on iTunes - a LOT cheaper than buying a CD from Europe, which is pretty expensive everywhere I've looked (though TOTALLY worth it!!).

Just got this one last week, and I'm surprised there isn't more buzz about this album.

Point of Know Return is my favorite from that one. Love the Bass VI stuff.

I just got this - it's totally f'ng awesome. It sounds like there is some Bass VI in there, maybe some Jaguar or something similar too.

I just picked up Brian Setzer's Instru-MENTAL! album. For those who are already fans, outside of the lack of vocals, you really aren't going to get anything you are not already familiar with. Brian's style speaks for itself. You either love it or you don't. I consider myself a fan and as long as it isn't a return to his first two solo records from the 80's, I will pick up anything he does. 11 instrumental tracks from the master of rockabilly guitar. Most are new instrumental arrangements of songs we are all familiar with him playing. I absolutely love Go-Go Godzilla and all of it's simplistic glory.

I had a nice eBay score from Japan

Mad 3 - We Are the Mad Crew
Howling Guitar - Motor Noise
Switch Trout - Blow Mind! here are the Trouts

All CD of course but it came out to under $50

Storm Surge of Reverb: Surf & Instro Radio

That Howling Guitar album is killer.

Picked up the new Secret Samurai CD and a few 7"s:

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

Exceptional material, well played, and often very inventive.

I recently got Deke Dickerson's "Live At Duff's" CD - it's a great overview of everything he's done since disbanding the Untamed Youth. Great music (including some instrumentals), very good sound quality for a live recording and great entertainment all-round.

Terry & the Blue Jeans' Beat Beat Beat Vol. 2 - Pretty decent. It's got a handful of great songs and a couple of not-so-great ones.

Wow that's pretty far out and bad-ass!

What's with the YouTube video description? Ha-ha:

The great fan of THE BEACH BOYS is music of the check required.
DICK DALE is surprising for the technique of a cool guitar as it vanishes!

Have you heard the Phantom Surfer's version where (I assume) Mel is singing it phonetically?

I think the uploader disabled embedding.

The rest of the album doesn't sound anything like that, but it's still fun.
