Got Urban Surf King's Retro Sonic and Surf vs. The Flying Saucers. What more is there to say? Rev's the man and they delivered. Love their sound.
Also got The Eliminators' Room To Move. I'm about 5 tracks in and am really enjoying this record.
I'd recommend any of these albums.
Surf rules!

Thanks a for the kind words! We really appreciate them.

I got this in the mail last week! Both Taikonauts albums on Vinyl and some nice little goodies as well! These albums are so incredible! I had them on CD and digital, but I needed the vinyl. You know how it goes.

You can order these from their website. Price includes shipping worldwide. I got the package (wrapped well, I might add!). http://www.thetaikonauts.org/shop/

Just picked this up. The album is a nice mix of traditional, with some garage distortion on some tunes. The drumming is especially excellent! I have been meaning to pick this one up since first hearing it with Lorenzo in Antigua. Better late than never.

NIZE, very nize.

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

The Delstroyers as a digital download.

my Record Store Day scores.... OK, not all surf, but related! Flat Duo Jets have a couple of nice instro's on this double 7" (including a rockin version of Penetration) and the JSBX has a great live version of their Link Wray / Beastie Boys mashup of 'She's On It / Jack the Ripper. And the Sonics have the mighty Dusty Watson on drums Wink

My RSD purchases. Sadly the Shadowy Men box set sold out before I got there. Some Dusty Watson with the Sonics!

The Challengers is very Challengers sounding. The album alternates between vocals and instros with dry guitars and sax. Pretty good.

The Tornados sounds amazing. Great recording/restoring on this one. I really like the album.

The Sonics...maybe one of the best live albums I've ever heard. Holy Moly it rocks (do kids still say Holy Moly these days?). Dusty is on fire!!!

Bought some MP3s last night:
The Hellbenders "Today We Kill, Tomorrow We Die". Whoa! That album'll put the marinara on your spurs. I even enjoyed the songs with vocals. First album of theirs and I enjoyed it immensely. Must get more!
Madeira "Sandstorm". First album of theirs for me, surely won't be the last. Really impressive guitar playing. I was floored by Burning Mirage in particular. Great atmosphere on this album; great spaghetti and other exotic flavors. Some very nice acoustic work also.
Atomic Mosquitos self titled. OK, second album from them, these guys are becoming one of my favorite new surf bands. Just one listen so far but man it delivers!
