Finaly found my vinyl catches from Surfer Joe. My wife unpacked the suitcase and couldn't remember where she put the bag with vinyl. Turns out it was gathering dust under our bed

And some nice Dutch instrumental records from the early '60's, I found in the local pawn shop. Wild stuff! Didn't know my forefathers made such cool records. The single has a very, very weird hammond organ version of Tequila on the b-side.

Some delightful CDs and vinyl I picked up at Surfer Joe, and in Denmark (Tremolo Beer Gut). Enjoying them all! The Tintinette CD is an Italian Uke group.

A friend of mine just laid this on me.
Vocals, piano, banjo and some surfy guitar. Surf Music & Hootenanny as promised. It's a doozy... ![None None](/media/smiley/images/none.gif)
Unusual to say the least.

Last week I found in the internet the long looked for album by Gary Usher: Add Some Muisc To Your Day (A 1970 Symphonic Tribute To Brian Wilson).
I was released in Europe as mc50338cd on poptone in 2001.
The liner notes say that it was recorded in late 1969 and early 1970
(The BBs LP "Sunflower" which showcases the track "Add Some Music To Your Day" was released in 1970, so did Gary knew about this song already....?)
Gary used some of the original members of the Wrecking Crew who were used on the original recordings as wll as the LA Symphonic Orchestra.
Tracks: Caroline No, You still Believe in Me, Busy Doin´ Nothin´,Pet Sounds,Fall Breaks and Back To Winter/Good Vibrations/Heroes And Villains medley, The Wramth of The Sun, God Only Knows, Please Let me Wonder,Friends,In My Room.
No surf muisic with lots of reverb but classical symphonic sounds of some of Brian´s nicest tracks arranged and produced by one of the biggest names in surf and hot rod music: The Unbelievable Great GARY USHER!!

Did The Raybeats feature on The Ventures 30th Anniversary video with all the special guests? I've got the VHS somewhere and not seen it for probably 15 years. It must be a bootleg as it has "Beloved Invaders" and a 1980s gig in LA, plus an 80s Japanese gig on it.
Must get it transferred/digitised before it decays.

I picked up some "new" stuff, which I snatched on eBay, a few days ago. And a friendly soul also let me borrow some extra records (lower row). ![Smile Smile](/media/smiley/images/smile.gif)

Today, I scored a vinyl edition (World-Pacific Records, Hollywood, CA) of The Sandals' soundtrack for Endless Summer at Jerry's Records in Pittsburgh. (It was the only actual surf recording in Jerry's "Surf" section!)

Yesterday I found a great condition copy of Los Coronas - Los Coronas on Vinyl at a cool record store in Oshawa Ontario.
They also had a copy of The Fathoms - Overboard on blue vinyl but I was, sadly, out of cash and they didn't take credit or debit.
Cheers,
Jeff

So I got these this past week. The live at Ernesto's is easily among the best live albums I've heard and I say approaching Live at Leeds quality. I know these are old news to most of you but I'm still the new guy who's struck by that sense of wonder at the sights and the sounds. Just started Go Hunting! this morning but it confirms all the bits and pieces I've heard about it.
A bit of an investment but not quite as dear as I was expecting. Imported from Germany and Belgium.
And for those of you as ignorant as I am, the live album is a true DOUBLE album as in 2 records, 4 sides fold out cover and all.

Ooh, Carol, that Mustangs Collection CD is amazing, lots of fun. (Just ordered the Twangin' Tritones from the link you provided; thanks again.)
