so I have cut a few songs and rearranged a few people,
if there is something that we talked about on the phone, or in a e-mail or pm
and I didn't add you, please contact me again.
sorry if so.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

hang in there Mr. Tiki, you're doing a great job!

sorry to be a pain, but i can't let this opportunity pass:

if it's okay with Ivan and Danny, i'd love to join in on bass for "Diamondhead"

it's not often that one gets the opportunity to jam with players of this calibre...

also, Mr. Tiki, regarding helping out: you can count on my help helping with the getting on and off stage part of the program...i'll be around for the entire jam...

-dave p

DP, anybody, its not a prob to add anybody to any of the songs that have openings for instrument you play.
lets just nail this soon.

and thanks for the offer of help.
its pretty much gonna be people with guitars going up and coming down,
no amps or anything moving.

lets keep the effects to a min if possible.,
preferably just the tanks, and amps.
but if you use a boost or delay I suppose that is cool if its able to run on battery,. and you can flop it down and plug the guitar into it in 10 seconds and play.

no

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Man, I wanted to play "Chick Fight" by Chum...

I'm kinda Bummed nobody from CHUM has posted that they want to do a song.

guess that SG101 is to much fluff,
and not cool to read this thread.
and participate.

Hey Jeff,

Have you come up with an agenda/schedule of events/time table yet?

Like I’ve said before, there are probably many folks out there with busy lives and they may not be able to attend all day but, would like to know what is happening and when.

I have a lot of friends that enjoy surf music, are not in a band, don’t play an instrument, may possibly attend but, want to know when would be a good time to show up to see what they want to see. Some of whom may not go because of the uncertainty of the schedule.

Maybe, you have said it before but, could you please repeat the order of things for those inquiring minds that want to know?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Duff,
I am reworking the schedule,
Matt Quilter of theReventlos has to leave by 2:30
as PJ and Dusty have to be out of there by 4 ish.
so I am working on the revamped line up now,
and waiting for e-mails, and or calls back from the Eliminators.

I will post soon.
sorry for delay.

here is rough schedule.

Swap meet Noon to 2 pm
1:30 to 1:45 slide show of old surf history by Brian Chidister.
1:45 to 2pm, clips from the surf drumming dvd
2pm drum off with Dusty Watson, and Jeff Utterback.
2:20 ish. The Sound of Surf trailer clips , surf music documentary
2:30 Slacktone,
3pm Eddie Bertrand, and PJ and Norm of Ghastly Ones do Squad Car and Mr. Moto.
3 :15, Jams with some people playing with Dusty and PJ.
3:45ish. Outterwave
4:15ish Eddie Bertrand w Eliminators 4 songs. Then Eliminators 4 songs
4:45ish Boardwalkers
5:15ish Aquasonics

it looks like I might need to cut some more songs from the jam list.

if anybody has one of those guitar stands that hold 6 or so guitars then folds up to look like a guitar case, can you bring it please?

I realize that this was an in-joke from another post, but it is not a stupid question. Because of their design asymmetry, offset guitars like the Fender Jaguar and Jazzmaster are unbalanced and super tippy in stands that have fixed bottom support. Like this type, for example:

image

Probably like most offset players, I prefer the old standby with a swiveling bottom part:
