I traded some email with Dano. He's got a new job and is very busy, so it sounded like they wanted to pick up a sub for him. However the best they could do was find a guy who could play the organ. So they tried it out and Dano said it sounded great; he admitted they sounded like a different band though. I met Dan-O a few years ago when the Nebulas were in San Diego. He's a cool guy and I think he's a key part of their sound. I hope things work out well for everybody. Of course, I'd love to hear the Nebulas with the organ. |

Hi - just to clarify, the organ player is not a "substitute" for Dan for the upcoming shows this weekend - we've had the organ forever, just never had anyone to play it. With Dan's unpredictable work schedule, we still wanted the ability to play the occasional show and do so with at least 4 people. Ideally, we'll be playing future shows as a 5-piece, but if something comes up at the last minute, we can still do the gig with 4. I would also add that while it sounds different, the change is nice and adds another dimension to our sound & injects some variety into our existing material & may yield some new ideas going forward. tfj |
