Ron,I assume your joking, right?

1st thing Mavericks is about 300 miles or so north of me.
2nd I have never surfed, just Body Board, or sponge it as some say.
and
3. Ever since going to Hawaii 2 times in the 90's the water here in Ca; is just too nasty for me to even want to go out in it anymore.

BTD..yeah, i was just joking. I'd been going around and around with Zak over the Simpsons/Hawaiian shirt thing and saw my chance to loosen up a little and well......you were the target!! Zak and i are best buds now and that surf footage is really amazing to watch. Thanks for posting it.

Aw man. Shocked Maverick's is so hardcore. Twisted Evil

Great post on Mavericks. Last week's "Big Wednesday" was amazing at the local So Cal beaches, too, with occasional double overheads at spots near my house==Sunset, Topanga Point, County line. Nothing like Mavericks but it pushed my limits.

It took me 15 minutes just to paddle out at Sunset, and I spent most of the time playing dodge wave, and finally just let a closeout push me in.

Note that Peter Davi drowned at Ghost Tree that day--he was a paddle in guy where most were tow-in's .

Goober

man, Id be scared shitless on the jetski alone. respect!
