Hello everyone, this has been going around in my head for a while now and I wanted to clear up my doubts. In the following YouTube link there is what, to my knowledge, is the entire video archive of a Dick Dale & Del-Tones show from 1963 if I'm not mistaken, and I noticed something when they played "Misirlou" and that is that the audio doesn't match the video, and now comes my question, what happened to the original audio? Does it even exist? Why was it replaced by another? Any information will be welcome, regards.

There's the link.

I think John Blair has the scoop on this and I tried to find his post with more information. I didn't find it, but here's another one (2nd paragraph):

I think this is the recent thread Brian was looking for. In here John posts another video with the actual sound.

Actual sound PLUS a bunch of annoying canned screams, in my estimation.
