People for years have been asking for me to do it in LA.

Any more comments? In years past, it would be a lot more.
Who’s coming? I’d think after no con for 2 years, people would be chomping on the bit for this.

I will go.
The American Legion Hollywood looks like a swanky place
2035 N Highland Ave Hollywood, CA 90068

The all star tributes are 1 of the highlights and is sure to include
some of SoCal's finest surf musicians.

Yelp reviews give it 4.5 stars

A shorter show may mean we can visit nearby attractions before and after, like the Hollywood Bowl museum, the Hollywood Heritage Museum,
Mel's drive-in, Madame Tussaud's, the Peterson Auto Museum and A Lousy Business if you have lice.

I like the idea of going to Mel's after the show. Happy Days.

Never been to Canter's. They have something for everyone.
Pass on the Cel-Ray soft drink.

Why get a burger when you can get this Dave? And that ceiling!

Don't like pastrami, but it is an impressive mouthful of meat.

The American Legion, Hollywood is about one mile from the new (one year) Amoeba Music location on Hollywood Boulevard. It's on the ground level of the building in the photo.

Making my travel plans! It's been far too long! Anyone want to carpool from the SF Bay area?

July 29,Friday night show 7pm to midnite
The Barkley in south Pasadena, Ca.
The Nebulas, Jetpack, Par Avion,

July 30, Saturday show, 5 pm to 11 pm
Secret Island tiki bar, Long Beach, Ca.
Meet n greet, DJs, surf music movies,
Surfer Joe, The Mach IV, The Nebulas.

Awesome, Jeff! It's gonna be a helluva weekend in SoCal!

For the Sat. Event at Secret Island.
Got the Ventures movie/Dvd, Stars on guitars,
We will show that early, and I received 10 copies from
Staci Wilson to sell.

We're about 90% coming down. Need to firm some things up.

checking my work concert list (I’m the audio systems tech for a few venues). hoping I can head down from SF!

Fingers crossed for you.

So who is planning on coming?

Looking up flights from Eureka to Burbank... prices are not bad at all! Except couldn't fly home until Tuesday... twice the price to go in/out of LAX but can come home Monday.
