It breaks my heart beyond words to post this.
The surf music world has lost Dave Pilgrim today Tuesday March 30, 2021 The cause was his heart, beyond that is unknown at the moment.

This is stunning to hear. He was so kind and talented. I always appreciated the times I’ve been able to see him play and interact with him. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Oh, man, this is so tragic. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. I remember meeting him when SP played in Atlanta many moons ago, he was a very nice man and a great credit to the surf music community.
Rest in Peace, Dave...

Absolutely horrible news. I met him at the SG101 convention, one of the last at The Starting Gate, and he was a very nice guy. Very sorry to hear this.

We lost a great asset and inspiration to the surf music community. Dave was one of the few surf guitarists who figured out how to make original music that was simple yet always interesting and exciting. (No small feat, I've tried for years but I always get in my own way) Satan's Pilgrims, as a result, has consistently put out great records and are Thee "Band's Band' of surf music. He will be very much missed.

My sympathy and prayers to Dave's family, friends, SP fans and the entire surf community. A great loss to surf music. Satan's Pilgrims is one of my all-time favorite bands - I know what I'll be listening to today.
