I just picked up a Surfy Bear compact and it came with a European style 12v power supply. Being North America, can I just use one of those adapters that convert it to a standard N.A. style plug?

I use a Yamaha keyboard power supply. I think it's the PA-130. $15 at the big retailers.
If your other one is working and the adapter is safe, I don't know if you need to change it.
Edit: I see you said "compact.". I'm using the regular Surfy Bear so the answer might be different!

- It must be 12v 1 amp
- Jim, the adapter should work
- We have N.A. adapters available in the US/Canada/Mexico section of the website surfyindustries.com and all reverbs ordered through us for US/Canada/Mexico come with a N.A.power supply.
