I posted this in another thread, but on the subject of "less reverb = more drip', I met Lorenzo from Surfer Joe a few months ago and had him sign my Surfy Bear Classic 3.0. He saw I had my settings at 6/6/6 and said that the idea that this is optimal settings is (and I quote him) "bullshit". He said to back off the mix and try 7/3/7 and sure enough, it got SO much more drippy.

My favorite settings on my SB Metal are around these
TONE:7 MIX:4 DWELL:7
Sometimes rolling off the tone a bit, depending on the song I play.
For extra ambient/20.000 leagues under the sea sound I dial the mighty 7/7/7

You can never have too much reverb.

I agree with the above views.
I’d also say the Source Audio True Spring likely delivers the most consistent and easiest to obtain “drip”. It’s essentially dialed in out of the box.
I use the Surfy Bear Compact live because the two mix option is beyond convenient for multiple tones, but the True Spring is the definition of easy.

I’d like to mention the boost/preamp(?) ability of the volume knob on the Compact is really great. I very frequently use it just for that with the mix low.

I would agree, the Tank setting on a True Spring is about as good as I’ve ever heard from a pedal.

The artist formerly known as: Synchro

When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar.

This has been solved - small pieces of foam between the springs. It works so well you might need another tank just for a wisp of traditional spring reverb.
