Tqi: Synchro, I managed to squeeze the Axial's in. Still working on how to lay them out next to the pots though.

DannySnyder: People often say "icy" is the easiest word to spell and looking at it now, I see why.

Tqi: Oy, Fender, Orange. One of you, make a 20W starved-plate valve bass amp. Like an Origin 20 with a big OT.

Permalink Quiet Surf Songs -suggestions needed

New Topic

I'm getting solo and band set together, so making a set list: I like the early original surf genre. There are lots of fast songs (good for later in the set but need some slow one's to start out) but trying to track down some slow one's, any suggestions would be a big help

I'm currently doing these slow ones
The Quiet Surf
The Breeze and I
Blue Venus
The Lonely Surfer
Johnny Guitar
Surfers Lament
PeacePipe/A Place in the Sun/Wonderful Land (these are not really surf but good slow songs)

'Surf Music Lasts Forever'

Theme from the Endless Summer-The Sandals

If you decide to go modern a great one is
Waves in the Mist by Shoot the Pier URL

Agent Surfcat Cool

Agent Octopus
Reverb Galaxy
Reverb Galaxy at CD Baby

The Hearse
Lonely Bull
Hotel loneliness
Wild as the sea

Waikiki Makaki surf-rock band from Ukraine

High Wall is really cool. Here's a thread that collected all the versions, some really cool ones...

Danny Snyder

aka Mycroft Eloi of The TomorrowMen
aka Shecky Shekels of Meshugga Beach Party
aka El Viejo Gringo of Combo Tezeta

Please check out our latest album FUTOURISM, it's a deluxe box set with original artwork from 10 artists and a bonus download sticker.

Not exactly surf but..

Albatross by Fleetwood Mac/Peter Green.

Happy Sunsets!

Thanks team! some great songs there

really like___
The Hearse
Hotel loneliness (more link Wray yeah!)
Wild as the sea

2nd and 3rd wave songs ok too

'Surf Music Lasts Forever'

For multiple set shows we play one slow one.

The Kahuna Kings

Dawn Patrol - The Atlantics

Two of my favorites:
Martin Cilia's slow "Bombora":

and The Bitch Boys "Snowmam":

Dreamy stuff!
- Dick B.

*Dick B.
The Aquatudes

For these I would recommend:

Last Date - Los Straitjackets
Pictures of Your Girlfriend - Infrareds
Supernova - The Nebulas
Rell Sunn Aloha - Slacktone
Polaris - The Insect Surfers
Werewolf - Frantics

Waikiki Makaki surf-rock band from Ukraine

Deception Bay by The Penetrators

"Be My baby" (Check out Slacktone's version on YT)
You'll get the girls waving! Yes Wink

Just heard it this morning: Theme for Young Lovers. Lots of Shadows stuff is quiet.

I love the Ventures' version of Sukiyaki. Over the Mountain Across the Sea off that same album is great too.

One more...

Outer Wave by The Sandals

Happy Sunsets!

Surfer's Life by the Blue Stingrays...a real beauty that we play when it's time for a pretty, slow tune.

"Surfside" by The Denvermen

The Insanitizers' version of this slow song ("And Suddenly You Run") gets a lot of enthusiasm. We enjoy performing it, especially improvising the bridge. Instead of pauses our bassist continues thumping, I like that.

The Insanitizers!

I like Los Straitjackets "Dreamland".

Check out Clint Beachwood's A Day at the Beach Podcasts #34 & #68...

Experiment in Terror, by Henry Mancini.
