I realize this thread has been buried for six years, but I was doing a search for overdrive and I'm curious... has anybody tried Seafoam Pedals' Lowtide Overdrive? There's a video review from That Pedal Show (Lowtide review starts at 10:07) embedded at the bottom of the page. The pedal looks beautiful, sounds excellent, and the reviewers seemed very impressed. I'd love to hear it is a surf context. Here's the link: https://seafoampedals.com/products/low-tide-overdrive

Sounds good! As for me after a long search and trying a lot of overdrives and boosters I stopped on Saturn VI and really happy with it, mild and transparent with nice character and overtones

I love the "amp jewel" light on the Saturn VI. It's a cool looking pedal, in addition to sounding great. I use very little overdrive for surf, but I still think it's worthwhile having it on my pedal board as I don't exclusively play traditional surf either. Smile

I have a very simple 1 watt tube head so I need to use some “spice”, otherwise it’s too neutral sounding. I use Blossom Point when I wanna go trad and Saturn VI when I want more grit, it works for me.

I may do the same as I have been trying to get in touch with Seafoam Pedals for half a week with no luck, and I’m admittedly not super patient when it comes to getting good customer service.

Found a decent price on a used Lowtide from the UK on Reverb and ordered it. Was very close to pulling the trigger on a used Saturn VI, but felt that was a bit impulsive after all the research I had done and deciding that the Lowtide was what I wanted.
