Should have thought of this earlier - the vib/rev footswitch from the combo amps are easy to convert, too.

The shape of that switch would make it somewhat foot controllable.

Due to some demand, Mel and I have created a run of these switches in a typical stomp box style. We will be selling them at SG101 in the vendor area. More info to come as we finalize the assembly. Feel free to ask any questions. This will quickly be a must-have for anyone who plays with a Fender style reverb unit.

Cool idea (I mean, like, really cool!) but the footswitch and cable have always been a notorious antenna for EMI. Do you have thoughts on this matter? I am not hearing anything unruly in the video, I suppose.

LHR,

Weird, I've never had any noise issues with reverb or tremolo foot switches. My workshop/rehearsal space is in some kind of EMI vortex (Danny can attest to this!) so if there was a noise issue I think I would have heard it.

In the least, I can say there's no reason why this would make any more noise then a standard reverb on/off switch, if that helps.

We'll have them at the SG101 convention so we'll see how much noise they pick up there!

Another option is to add the color-switch feature described in this thread:
https://surfguitar101.com/forums/topic/28840/?page=1

It should be possible to build into the external footswitch enclosure!

Good idea, but we already ordered the enclosures. Next run maybe Smile

Big thanks for posting this! It's taken me ages, but I've finally put together my own take on this and the Reverb color switch idea linked earlier in the thread:

The 6 way switch selects 5 different caps and a 6th position turns the pot into a secondary mix control so you can switch between two different reverb settings with the pedal. Very cool way to enhance the drip. I also wired a 10k pot in series after the cap switch - gives you control over the intensity of the resonant peak. I found it was too harsh with my fender amps so being able to tame it a bit is really useful. This was a completely unintended bonus!
