First, Put on Baja by the Astronauts,
to accompany this sad tale of So California Travels.

Don & Billy and all at SG101,

I was so looking forward to playing with both of you guys next Week!
But, as we all have already learned:

      "You make plans and then life happens"

Last week, I took a relaxing swim in these gorgous turquoise waters,
and as I was getting out, I got a small scratch on my ankle.
(SG101 musical note, these are the same steps that lead to surf music pioneer, Neil Young's house)
Looked like the scratch was doing fine, until I woke up last Sunday Morning.
I had a huge rash on my calf, and other small patches on my foot,
along with long red streaks up my thigh , I knew these are all signs
of a bad infection.
Got a ride from a friend straight to the ER. I got immediate IV with an antibiotics array.
I came home Wednesday Night as the antibiotics had turned the tide.
But I still have a long way to go.
Right now my foot looks like a Red Lobster Restaurant sign on Pacific Coast Highway!
I just wanted to thank you two guys publicly to show what a fine Brother/Sisterhood Forum we have here on this fine Surfguitar101.
To play with the ever enthusiastic Don Schott again, who with his with his encouragement finally got me to get up the courage to sign up to play in the members jam!
And to meet and play with Billy Blastoff, who made such a wonderful offer of loaning me his Ever Classic Surf Axe "A Jaguar" from his own collection for me to use at the convention!
I was going to meet with Billy in Ventura County as I traveled from San Diego to Santa Barbara for a wedding and then again on my way back South, just to play together and refine our Rhythm Parts.

Thanks to all of you! I will miss the wedding and the convention, and I am saddened that I must pull out on the Members Jam.

But, I will be there Next Year!
