The East Room and the Club Room are for Elk members only.

Plenty of dance floor. Reminds me of the old dance hall daze when I played in a fifties group.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Not gonna lie, those pic's courtesy of Dave F have me a little leery... were Deke's Guitar Geek festivals held here? I seem to recall that that vibe in photo's or video's of the event at one point.

Never the less, pretty jazzed for the 2 week count down actually being underway - ALWAYS a pleasure to get out, reconnect with folks, take in the tunes and whatnot!

El Mirage @ ReverbNation

the early geek fests were in a hall at the jolly roger restaurant down the street from disneyland, then it moved to a ballroom at a hotel across the street from disneyland. I am digging the vibe of this room.
FB page says around 350 going.

Who's in charge of serving up the milk and cookies? Smile

Just joking! Playing at an Elks Lodge is what bands did in the 60's.

But is there a bar? Food? Just wondering.

Very proud to announce that KFJC will be broadcasting live from this Surf Guitar 101 convention from 11am to 8pm. This will include FM at 89.7 in our local area, with audio and video streaming on the internet.

There is no substitute for being there, but for anyone who cannot make it or for anyone who wants to catch the audio in the following 2 weeks on the broadcast archives, it will be available. FYI- video is not archived.

Our remote live broadcast crew is stoked! More information as time goes on at kfjc.org.
