Thanks for advice Ralf, but I didn't take....
I openend the package... Inside there was a nice Dearmond T400 in orange. It is my 3rd hollowbody. I have a black Dearmond starfire special (but this has a sustain-block)and I have had an orange Duesenberg Carl Carlton (sold it some time ago). The T400 has a lot of vibe, nice Rockabilly-Style axe and it suggests to play fingerpickin' (if only I was able to ;) )...
It has a very different character than all my guitars, which meets my expectations and I 'm quite happy with that - I played 2 hour in the evening after work :). So my post-GAS hangover is not that bad... In fact I'm happy with the T400, cause it gives inspiration to play other stuff. (And I can better justify the purchase !!!)
ok - I'm still a baaaad Gearoholic. I still need to sell and would feel better like Ralf wrote, if I did. I think too much of the same is not good, and selling a JM or a Jag would be good for next step. My new acquisition is ok (reasonable - no ;) ).

...oh Matze, sell the DeArmond again very soon. You do not need this guitar at all! And you know it.
You are a good player, I know. You can play finger picking on every guitar.
Selling a JM or Jag is hard...
What is about your other guitars? Is this old italian sold meanwhile? What is the name? Gelati? Galanti?
I have sold my Fender Cyclone now today! Juhu!!!!!
I do not miss it yet.
After selling 4-5 guitars, now I am down to 27 guitars. Good! But now the choice of the next sales will be hard. A Teisco? A Yamaha again? One of the Jagstangs? The shoreline gold Jag with matching head? ...
— Twang cheers!

27 guitars!!!
A long time ago I read a story about Jeff Beck getting up in morning and floating his hand above several racks of guitars while whispering to himself - now which one am I playing today.. But nearly always it was green Stratocaster with the broken and repaired body he chose to use.

If I could play like Jeff Beck I would give 22 guitars for THIS talent. Or 23. Yes, 23! No, 24!

Yes - Galanti is sold meanwhile. Same with my beautiful Hallmark Custom 60, which now belongs to Kilian SanchoPansen and my Duesenberg. But I got more Jags and others you don't know, so it's toooooo much guitars !

The shoreline gold Jag ??!? How much ? (NONO NO !!! I will resist !!! AAHHHHHH ) I think about parting with my surfgreen Jag - you know her !? Also the Aria 1702t or my older Dearmond Starfire Special are candidates for GAS-recover actions.
hmmm one question: do basses and acoustics count ?

Haha Hello Ludovic,
that complicates medicating GAS ;). I had been slightly gasing for one long time, now I think the T400 could really become one of my faves...

Being a Yamaholic,
I have accumulated a fair collection of Yamaha amps and guitars.

ohhh ohhhh - I had a baaaaaaad slide back this summer !!! omg
bad GAS explosion.... guitars & pedals. And you might think - the worst part of it, is that (almost) none of it is surf-gear.
Firstly GAS-recovering plan worked:
I sold 1 guitar, 1 Cajon, my Congas, a mastery, some pickups and small sparte parts. Thats fine, isn't it ?
BUT then:
bought 3 guitars and 3 pedals. AAHHHHHH
Anyone, who can report some progress ? I failed.... so far

Nice bump of an old thread! I suspect pretty much all of us that posted in this thread have fallen off the wagon in the past year or two! I bought two guitars this year! I gotta stop! I have no more space for them - but I don't want to sell any of them! Arrrggghhhhh!!! I need help!!!
