- Crispy Bess IS the magic man who had the vision and has turned this event into, well simply stated, the premier instrumental happening of all time.
Kudos, my friend are no where near sufficient.
You make this happen and we all love you for it.

That annoying spell check changed my #55 to #1.
Ah well, Crispy is just destined to be Number 1.
That's ok with us.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything already said about Crispy, and everything else that will soon be said to praise him for all he's done. He's completely amazing!

Thanks Crispy for all your tireless work that you put into this event . For getting things lined up months in advance and getting sponsors , backline , DJ and people to work the tables . For being the king of banter and giving every band one hell of an introduction . The Instro Summit is our favorite time of year we all look forward to the three day event like a kid waiting for Santa Clause to arrive . We really appreciate all you have done to make this the Monster event it has turned into !!!

Well, I just got the bill from the Motorco: 295 bucks for awning repair. Hope the Daikaiju fellers are true to their word; I'd hate to send the Alabama Surf Mafia out to shake down friends.

I was there when that video was recorded. I was also fortunate enough to hold/play the rhythm guitarist's Fender Strat after they all ran back inside.
You could see the awning caving in with each step...which is why he remained very still once he noticed

SOOO late chiming in on this thread! I just caught up with my pics and wanted to give a big thanks once again to Crispy for putting together another great weekend!! I love that the event grows every year with this one bringing over some west coasters to get into the fray! I'd love to see that expand to more bands in the future! Much like the SG101 convention this has now become an annual family reunion of sorts. I adore all of the great people that I see every year!
I am really stoked to have played 2 sets at this Instro Summit. This is one of the events that The Mystery Men? look forward to most every year. Crispy also agreed to have local Atlanta spaghetti-themed group El Capitan & The Band With No Name along for the ride as well this time around. That band is essentially just the lead guitar James "El Capitan" with the remainder of the band being picked from a relatively large roster of any friends that are available and interested gig to gig. 3 Mystery Men were tapped to play this gig (made perfect sense for travel and such), and we had a great time. The full spaghetti western band with horns would have been great to have up there. Hopefully there will be interest again next year and we can make that happen!
I'm already looking forward to next year!!
