It sounds better in this last clip. Tell us what you think DreadInBabylon!

Yeah, that does actually sound more usable in that last vid. I guess this really is something one has to try for themselves; looking forward to your assessment, Ariel.

I bit the bullet and ordered one too. Got it from Rogue guitar shop for $165.75 after coupon code. Money is tight right now and I don't see a tank in my future for a while. I have 3 days off next weekend and I'm looking forward to trying it up against the Boss. I've never played through a tank, but I'll let y'all know how it does compared to the dreaded FRV-1.

Can't make a decision if it sounds good yet until I hear someone demo it playing a bunch of old hat blues licks with tons of gain.

You can feel the irony here Wink Jake? Your turn!

the FRV-1 works well for me but im around $130 curious about this, not $165+

I'll have to try it with my Les Paul, tubescreamer cranked and make faces like I'm in pain whenever I bend a note Laughing

I ordered one. I currently use a Hardwire RV-7 that I really like. The only nuances about the RV-7 that I'm not in love with is... It's a little too clean/pristine, and has a little too much separation between the clean and reverb signals. It lacks a certain sonic glue that's in a real analog tank. Though admittedly the longer you've been using it the less bothersome it becomes. I'm hoping the Topanga improves on these few things and just does it all better. I'm also hoping the tone knob lets me dial in some nice and dark and smooth non-surfy reverb that I like sometimes.

thanks for the tip on rogue's website and 15% discount. I bought one and will do a side by side using my Nocturne F-bomb reverb tank (6G15 corksniffer) I'll use my Dipinto 1st gen G4 and my rutters telemaster junior loaded with M-3 JM-100s mosrite pkups. ...and my Gretsch SSU, that has to happen.

UPS tracking says it should be here when I get home from work tonight.

Damn Americans!

Is there anyone who knows how can I get Catalinbread pedals in Europe?

Sorry, I could only find 3 dealers on the web selling these right now. They may ship to Europe but the shipping costs may be crazy.

I just pulled the trigger on it. (Thanks for the Rogue Guitar Shop info guys.)I got it as a back up to my tank as I've gotten tired of moving the unit all over the place. And honestly I've been considering the Boss unit for months, I hear a couple of clips of this one and I immediately buy it. Go figure.

Whoops! They sent it postal not UPS. It just got delivered, but alas I'm at work. Guess what I'm doing when I get home! Big Grin
