Jaeger schnitzel always has gravy. It's my favorite schnitzel and I always eat it every year just before Christmas, with red cabbage and latkes.

for the gravy i understand and I agree, but hammering the meat to tenderize it is normal... in ANY schnitzel preparation recipe i find hammering the meat.

dear lorenzo!
"but hammering the meat to tenderize it is normal... in ANY schnitzel preparation recipe i find hammering the meat."
only for pork, which is the more firm and sturdy meat. the only real schnitzel is made from veal, and this meat falls apart just like poultry does - a very funny 20 year old video from austrian tv starring a good friend of mine, chef tom strini, shows this for a cordon bleu made from turkey - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-VD6LYvdIg ...

Lorenzo, THIS video is good!
In this thread we do not speak of exactly Wiener Schnitzel. We created a new Schnitzel. This is the Surf guitar Schnitzel!
The beating sounds in the professional cooking video are okay but with a Fender Jazzmaster this definitely sounds better. The sounds are a bit similar indeed…
So the fact is for a Surf guitar Schnitzel you need a surf guitar!
…I am also interested in this Mexican style Schnitzel on the first site of this thread! What is this red colored area in the Schnitzel please? Chili????
…I am also a fan of Jägerschnitzel. But the Jägerschnitzel is different. Yes, with gravy, also very good! And with Spätzle or Pommes Frites! And a bit of mixed salad. But not too much salad, this too healthy… I know this from the south of Germany.

I still have the smell of Schnitzel in the flat here.
Today is a good day.
Lorenzo was here.
Today was a good day.
We made another Schnitzel party on this wonderful day.
Aaaaaaaaaaand: Be prepared for a new video. Do not miss to take a look here at SG101 every day for our new Schnitzel science instruction video.

yesterday was a day, too. it was a rather humble day.
it was the "I recover from the side-effects of the Schnitzelbeat Vol. 2 release party" day ...

still, i am awaiting your schnitzelvideo for review purposes, and i will find a strict but fair verdict!

Take me to Asutria right away! I want a tasty slice of that authentic Asutrian Schnitzel. I think Asutria is in the neighborhood of Deschutesland and Grand Fenwick, but my Central Europåische geography is not strong. Meanwhile (and a very mean while it will be) I will have to take a trip to Dese Plaines, beyond Chi-tonw.

We are getting PRO.
Clearly I will have a schnitzel party with Wolfi in Vienna on early December. I am already excited. Wolfi will beat the meat with Reverb Tanks and Reverb Pedals.

Obviously, the short scale of the Mustang does not give you the leverage you need to tenderize the schnitzel. I'm also curious to know whether lacquer or nitro finish is the best non stick surface for a spatula.
Also, which guitar cleaning cloths are best for cleaning up eggs.
This is what is great about science. So much to learn!

These are indeed good questions. Out team of experts will analyse and provide answers.

I also noticed that Ralf has on a special suit while cooking. Is this to prevent contamination of the schnitzel?

A small team of British scientific boffins have been intercepting your schnitzel communications for some time. We have detected a weakness when flipping the schnitzel in the pan. May we suggest completely removing the Jazzmaster tremolo unit and using it as a utensil instead of using the whole guitar. We appreciate this might not be traditional method.

I think the aerodynamics of the Yamaha body, the leverage gained by using the samurai headstock, and innovative Japanese technology in general has made it the front runner in surf schnitzel preparation.
But this site is not just about gear. We must also take note of the technique! Like tone, true surf schnitzel preparation is in the fingers! I think this is why the strap method went so horribly wrong. Using a gear shortcut instead of using proper wrist, arm, and finger mechanics.
I applaud you men of science! Without you, surf guitar schnitzel would just be schnitzel, which is ok but not great. YOU ARE MAKING GREATNESS!!! Cheers!
