Well, I don't have the ideal gear for it, but I made use of what I have. My only amp rig rig is a Marshall 50 watt Plexi with sealed 2x12 w/Celestion Greenbacks (Can you tell I like Rock?). So this is a Mexican 50's Strat into an EH Holy Grail reverb pedal into the Marshall. Can I work with this? (Yeah, I'd like to get a tank)

Nice playing...the Holy Grail imo is the best if you don't have a tank but still does not get you where you want to go..you need that drenched tone that lingers long after the note and no pedal will do it. Firtst 1/2 of the tune nice and surfy..2nd 1/2 kinda dipped into SRV (tone and style). Thanks for the link.

it all depends on your audience, true surf crowds might frown at your gear, but 95% of an average audience will hear nor see the difference between your stuff and a fender piggyback/tank set. anyway, always work with what you've got, not with what you want.

btw, if you like rock sound and marshalls, check out the mofos and the coffin daggers, for a more rocky sound. you might also like the tijuana bibles...
