Thanks Jeff,

Hope you put up a link to your holiday songs. Looking forward to those.

O.K., we did a really quick job on this medley this past weekend.
Unfortunately I'm playing drums and I'm not that good - but Kiwamu and I had fun throwing this together for a local radio station.
Hope you get a laugh out of it.

LOVE it! I like the varied use of effects & classic surf sounds and especially the whimsical Jingle Bells outro; harkens back to the "sign off" at the end of a classic Warner Bros. cartoon.

Last year we did a jingle bells jignle that aired at local radio stations. You can find it here: https://soundcloud.com/theelectricsax/dirty-fuse-jingle-bells-surf

damn you guys are good!

Crazy Aces, Dirty Fuse, both of those radio jingles were great!

SURFmole, Wes, stratdancer and ParkRowe - Thanks so much for the kind words.
We sure wish we had more time to perfect it AND a real drummer, and someone who can really mix and an engineer and........Ha Ha.

Dirty Fuse - that's a classic sound there! Very cool.

Cheers,

Jeff

Horsehockey. Me thinks he dost protesteth too much. If there was a drummer half as good as that in this area that wanted to do surf instro I'd probably start running out of excuses to not play out again...
Nice job. (All I can do with drums is trip over them.)

I'll have some more coffee & this too shall pass.

Wes,
Horsehockey - nothing!
The whole project was contingent on whether or not I could get through the drum track.........and trust me, it almost didn't happen, LOL.
We almost went out for a beer and Christmas shopping instead. Ha Ha

"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

Haha our project was similar, we had to do everything in a couple of days because the radio station was in a hurry (as is everyone here all the time). We had to move and set up the drums in a tiny 10'x15' appartment and record everything ourselves doing only a few takes. We did the mixing and mastering ourselves, too.

It's the only time I've ever tried using a baritone. It's a strat with downtuned really heavy strings, using the bridge+neck pickup combination.

We did this back in the 80's......
I know vocals aren't real popular here, but it's the only Christmas song we did.

I edited an old GoPro video on YouTube to fit my tune Holiday Run, because there just aren't enough surfy skiing videos on the 'tube ...

Bumping one from a previous page. Lots more cool tunes earlier in this thread!
