LOVE it! I like the varied use of effects & classic surf sounds and especially the whimsical Jingle Bells outro; harkens back to the "sign off" at the end of a classic Warner Bros. cartoon. — Wes DISCLAIMER: The above is opinion/suggestion only & should not be used for mission planning/navigation, tweaking of instruments, beverage selection, or wardrobe choices. |

Last year we did a jingle bells jignle that aired at local radio stations. You can find it here: https://soundcloud.com/theelectricsax/dirty-fuse-jingle-bells-surf —https://zakandthekrakens.bandcamp.com/ |

SURFmole, Wes, stratdancer and ParkRowe - Thanks so much for the kind words. Dirty Fuse - that's a classic sound there! Very cool. Cheers, Jeff —http://www.facebook.com/CrazyAcesMusic |

Horsehockey. Me thinks he dost protesteth too much. If there was a drummer half as good as that in this area that wanted to do surf instro I'd probably start running out of excuses to not play out again... I'll have some more coffee & this too shall pass. Haha our project was similar, we had to do everything in a couple of days because the radio station was in a hurry (as is everyone here all the time). We had to move and set up the drums in a tiny 10'x15' appartment and record everything ourselves doing only a few takes. We did the mixing and mastering ourselves, too. It's the only time I've ever tried using a baritone. It's a strat with downtuned really heavy strings, using the bridge+neck pickup combination. —https://zakandthekrakens.bandcamp.com/ |
