We have 3 Seasonal Favorites CDs and a King Of Hawaii CD-EP - check 'em out here:

http://www.doublecrownrecords.com/christmas-holiday/

We are starting to work on Seasonal Favorites 4 for next year - if you are in a band with a holiday tune, send us an e-mail at: records@dblcrown.com. The tunes ideally would be originals, or traditional/public domain tunes. Extra consideration will be given to songs that haven't been on the last 3 compilations.

That's got to be the best version of Silent Night I've ever heard.

Just did a Fender ver. of classic Phil Spector song "Christmas", popularized by Darlene Love of Blossoms and Crystals fame. "Drumsdick" did a nice "Wreaking Crew" drum line. Kind of a surf ending.

Here's Donny and the Dorsals cover of the Ventures classic "Sleigh Ride" complete the with antique sleigh bells that we used with our horses. It's part of the "Small Town Christmas" CD that we recorded with local artists from Michigan.

We recorded a Holiday EP this year for our show at Austin's Trail of Lights: The Boss Jaguars! - Santa's Bangin' Surfari!

The Boss Jaguars!

This jolly and fun guitar instrumental (Santa's Comin' 2013) is plainly a variation on a traditional song. The bass guitar is essential to the feel, so make sure your system has good bass. Many feel this particular recording gives the feeling of snowing, even a blizzard, and is played in an unusual way. The melody guitar, a Goya Rangemaster, uses single coil pickups. The melody is presented in ways that a vocalist can not sing (at least without operatic training). It's a free download, and Seasons Greetings from The Insanitizers.
