Night Birds is a punk band from the NJ/NY region, whose punk music is reminiscent of the Dead Kennedys and The Adolescents. They've released two highly-acclaimed albums, 'The Other Side of Darkness' and 'Born to Die in Suburbia.'
With a guitar sound drenched in reverb and visibly influenced by the surf punk sounds of early 80's hardcore, it was no surprise that the band would release a surf-only EP off of Wallrider records. The EP features three original songs and a rendition of "Hope For The Best (Expect The Worst)" from Mel Brooks's 'The Twelve Chairs' You can hear the cover here on Soundcloud.
The pre-order for this release is over but the record will be available on June 12th. This is dirty surf but it's fun.

Not the typical surf music as discussed here on SG101 but nice energetic 80`s style so called surf punk rock! (Cool for fans of Circle Jerks, DI, Descendents, and such stuff!)

Welcome to sg101, SanomaSurf! Very glad you're here. I'm listening to your band's music right now. I like the music I'm hearing. I find Davy Jones's Locker especially effective as a vocal surf song. Really very good stuff!
