Hi. Drew from Derangers here. Been OVER 20 years actually. The oldest track on the CD, our original spaghetti western called "Rio Sangre," was recorded in early 1990. The newest track, the cover of "Wichita Lineman," was recorded three months ago. (Daphne Blue is the name and color of my '61 Stratocaster - who you hear on every track) We were on a bunch of surf compilations in the '90's including "Tube: Atlantic Surf Essentials," in '96 which I recorded and produced. To this day it is Boston's best surf compilation. You may have seen my name as producer/engineer of instro bands like The Fathoms, Ray Corvair Trio and The Strangemen. That's what I do mostly, is produce other people's music in the studio, as well as play in The Derangers and a country band called Los Texicanos. Ted at Deep Eddy figured it was high time for us to get all the best Derangers tracks on one CD. Hi everybody.
