Soon. I'm trying to wrap up publishing info for the account on CD Baby for the three cover songs. As soon as we get that done, it'll be available for download. Meanwhile, you can order the physical CD from me or from CD Baby at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/thederangers Soon from other places... I'll make an update when it's available digitally.

Hi. Drew from Derangers here. Been OVER 20 years actually. The oldest track on the CD, our original spaghetti western called "Rio Sangre," was recorded in early 1990. The newest track, the cover of "Wichita Lineman," was recorded three months ago. (Daphne Blue is the name and color of my '61 Stratocaster - who you hear on every track) We were on a bunch of surf compilations in the '90's including "Tube: Atlantic Surf Essentials," in '96 which I recorded and produced. To this day it is Boston's best surf compilation. You may have seen my name as producer/engineer of instro bands like The Fathoms, Ray Corvair Trio and The Strangemen. That's what I do mostly, is produce other people's music in the studio, as well as play in The Derangers and a country band called Los Texicanos. Ted at Deep Eddy figured it was high time for us to get all the best Derangers tracks on one CD. Check us live at Otto's in NYC here: Derangers "Twang 'em High!"

It was the first thing I did. Good 'ol Freddy! Great band, love the guitar tone, the arrangements and the way you get around the neck - it's really inspiring. Best of luck with the CD!

I've had this comp since it first came out, and I think it's excellent! Your two tracks plus the two Fathoms tracks were my favorite on the CD, REALLY cool stuff! (The two Ray Corvair Trio songs were very good, too, though, and close behind.) I'm revisiting the comp right now, and I think it still completely holds up. That comp was also the first time that anybody outside of Boston heard the Fathoms, I believe, and it was immediately clear to me that they were a band to watch. I'm very glad to hear that we're getting a lot more Derangers stuff now, too - I look forward to picking up your CD. And welcome to !
