I wish people would post the videos here too and not have a separate video thread.

Ah, yes, I see. Sorry, I`ve started this video thread in manic video enthusiasm.
Should we delete the posts and put them in here? Is this possible?

MY thought with this separate thread was: When somebody is looking for cool surf videos he will search at first at "Surf videos" and not "Show announcements. So, why not let it run with this two Surfer Joe threads...

Twang cheers!

I understand Brian's point about keeping all the info in one thread.
But....
How often do people actually go looking at old show threads?
And....
I know many people that never use or look at the show announcements
Area of the forum. They only use/look at the calendar.
Odd I know, but I hardly ever look at the calendar.
The best would be to post pics and videos here I this thread.
And the same videos in the other thread in video area.

Yes!!
Here are Threesome from Serbia.
Definitely last song of their gig.
Don`t miss this funny moment 2:48min.

Twang cheers!

If someone wants to learn about Surfer Joe 2014 they would search for that. Now they are going to find multiple threads to dig through instead of one. Not a huge deal and I can see the other point of view. I just hate duplicating information across multiple threads.

Im just thinking of people that are roaming the site, and looking at the video area. when they see the title of the thread saying videos for surfer joe festival, they watch them.
then if they wanna know what it is.
they can look for the info of what it is later.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Sure, that's a good point.

and…. better to talk about many bands than many threads.

So: I was happy to see Monokini from Germany at last!
I wanted to see them since years! I just knew a few videos. At the first Surfer Joe day there were Monokini opening the festival.
They play with 3 guitars. And one of the guitarists is playing organ sometimes.
They played only original songs. After a few moments everybody heard that they are no beginners at all! I love such goooood drummers!!! Always good in surf to watch such drummers live playing! Their songs are very nice cool surf music with a very own touch! The bass player made the announcements, which I was very amused by because of his really german sounding english, haha! (I am also german and maybe the people say the same to my english…??? don`t care)
The guy with the Fender Jagstang guitar is very funny on stage. His name is Eggnogg. The other guys could do a little bit more stage acting and communicating with the audience imo.
Monokini had a very good varied set. My fave song is "Taikonauts lost".
People appreciated them a lot! I wished they could play some more song when they ended.
Very good and promising opening for the festival!!
Thanks to Monokini!

Twang cheers!
