Thanks for all the comments folks,
Means the world to me.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I'm still alive, barely.
If anybody wants to do the historic surf music
Tour of Newport and Balboa beach.
Meet today at the surf museum in Huntington at 9am.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Sunburnt. Tired. Ears ringing. Wallet empty. Grinning from ear to ear.

Damn that was a great weekend!

+1 , what Josh said.
Is there a video thread, for all the Convention shows ?

IMO.

Just woke up after my long drive back to the Bay Area. This was our first convention and we had a great time. Watching the bands at the beach on Sunday was surreal. I'm sure we will be back next year. Thanks Jeff!!
What are the dates for 2014? Sorry, too early? Big Grin

That was pretty freakin' cool! thanks Jeff!!!

It's going to take me a few days to recover - so amazing though! Thank you Jeff and Tiki Tena for all of your hard work. It was such a thrill to FINALLY make it down. So much great music over 3 days, but even better was reconnecting with old friends, people that I've worked with via e-mail and phone over the years, a whole bunch of long time customers and fans of the label and magazine, and met lots of new people as well. Thanks also to Lee of Dionysus Records for helping me with the merch table (which allowed me to see all of the bands at the Starting Gate for at least a few songs). Like others have said, I'm sunburnt, tired and my ears are ringing, but it was SO worth it. Thanks again, and hopefully it won't be long before my next trip down to So Cal.

I'm still in transit to home so this will be brief.

A big thanks to Jeff and everyone who gave him a hand.

Please post all videos and comments in this thread so we have all the memories in one place. Thanks.

Easily one of the best weekends of my life!

Here's what I have from the Penetrators tribute set. I hope I did this right:

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B3WkRWcl7bIba2pWZnFUTnZOMVE&usp=sharing

These are .wav files of 27~65 MB each, 259MB total, straight off my little Zoom H-1 recorder.

Edited to add:

Here's the member jam:

and the Astronauts tribute set:

I'm pretty sure some songs are missing since I sometimes pressed the record button twice by accident. Sorry!

If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

Eddie, Mrs K, and Sticks all arrived in big A on the same plane this evening after circling around in Alabama waiting for Atlanta's bad weather to clear.

If you are reading this and have NOT attended a 101 Convention, it's associated concerts, and outrageously great weekend events, start saving your money now for the second Saturday in August 2014.

It does NOT get any better than this.

Jeff is THE Mac Daddy of reverb drenched fun.

Quick kudos:

Thanks fellow "AstroNots," Link Ladshaw (drums) Jamie Galatas and Chris Fesker (guitars) and Richard (bass) for being a part of the trib set. Gee how I wish we could do this on a regular basis.

And most of all to Sticks, Trace and Ivan for helping all of us to return to "Another Time, Another Place."

And of course, Brian.

I love you guys!

More when I've had a bit more time to recover........................

I'm really hoping someone posts the award ceremony for Ivan, I missed it Argh

Seriously! Emilio had boundless energy and enthusiasm. He was like a kid in a candy store ALL WEEKEND LONG! Plus, he's got to be one of the nicest people in the world. I sure hope to see him again next year, if not sooner.
