Didn't check carefully if I have voted... But there are so many lovely colors. I love the red ones, like Fiesta Red, Candy Apple Red and lately I like Daphne Blue, Surf Green blah blah blah blah... —Every word is like an unecessary stain on silence and nothingness. |

I love too many of them to narrow it down to just one. Towards the top of the list are... Surf Green Sitting squarely on the bottom is Sunburst. It's too overdone. —Cats 'n' Strats, 'cause that's how I roll - I eat reverb for breakfast! Fenderus Collecticus |

Lately I'm with the Seafoam crowd, though that changes periodically. I like the more obscure colors. I plan on one day building a Strat and was going to buy one of these bodies for it, but I'm not sure how authentic it will look. http://www.beyondeleven.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Strat-Guitar-Body-Sea-Foam I've seen several different takes on Seafoam and I don't know which is the way it was really meant to look. That family of colors can also look very different from one picture to the next depending on the light. —The Mystery Men? |

I voted Olympic white. Classic color. Although a vintage three-tone sunburst is probably my favorite. Specifically 1962-1967. Some '61s and some '68s look okay. However, many sunburst finishes don't do it for me. I think the AVRIs have terrible sunburst finishes. Also, depending on which guitars, inlay, binding, which hardware, et cetera, my favorite color choices are going to vary. Also, how a finish ages is very important and, as we all know, the modern finishes look very different from what we may be use to looking at in pictures. |

On the cover of one of the older Fender cataloges I saw a pic of Ike Turner playing a baby blue strat. I asked my local dealer about it and he said "They only offer a select number of colors each year, how else can they keep selling the same guitar over and over again". "Son of a nutcracker" I said. He told me to check back each year to see if the color ever re-surfaced. |

The Fender Custom Shop reissued Ike's Strat in 2004. It was Daphne Blue. You may want to find a more accommodating Fender dealer...The "Classic '50's Strat" (MIM) is currently available in Daphne Blue, according to Fender's website. BTW, the Mexican Classic Series Fenders are really nice guitars for the $$. I bought a Mexican P bass for the home studio and really loved it until I played my band mates Rickenbacker, now I have to come up with $3200. just to get that sound and wonderful feel. But thanks woody, I'd probably still be calling it baby blue if you hadn't pointed it out. I think I want an American Standard re-issue 50's Strat in Daphne blue. I'm betting it has a tone equal to my re-issue Jag. Some day!!! |

I love all the colors, but I have 11 guitars that are Oly White. I just love that Oly White for some reason. Just looks straight forward I guess? |
