Warren I'm curious to hear what you thought of it.
Let's break in that concept of an honest review that
was coined months ago.

I'm going to review it for the zine I've been writing for, but it'll probably be a few more weeks before it gets posted. I'll let you know when it does. (In short, though, I dig it a lot.)

That was excessively violent and completely unnecessary. I loved it.

I have just arrived back home from holidays and the CD was in the postbox. I have put it in the CD player and I must say that this is the first time that I unpack my cases with a grin from ear to ear.

Congratulations boys!!! Thumbs Up

It's been in my car since the convention along with the new TomorrowMen and Secret Samurai CD's. Excellent debut.

The only problem with it......

too short, wish it was a whole cd.
other than that. Awesome!
I keep listening to it over and over too.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I wish you guys were able to put your covers on it also, but I understand why you didn't. But you do such a damn good job with those Jesters songs, wow!

Bump:
Tomorrow will be the 10 year anniversary of this release.
I have to say I really miss this band.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Thanks for bumping this thread Jeff. This album is quite the gem and more people should be hip to it!

Is it on Bandcamp or any where else for purchase?

Maybe Ferenc knows about the cd.

are any of the band still on here?

Jeff(bigtikidude)

I'd say no, they're not. I suggest contacting them through Instagram DM's at this address:

I'm still here! (occasionally)

As far as I know there's no Deadbeats bandcamp page. If anyone wants a physical CD I still have leftovers, and I think Zanti might too.

Thanks for bumping this, Jeff. Gotta say this band was one of the most fun things I ever did and I still miss it. I'm still proud of this little EP and glad that it seemed to reach all the people I'd hoped would like it... and that it was apparently memorable enough 10 years later!

The romantic in me still wants to see one more Deadbeats project through. There are a handful of unrecorded songs in my back pocket, and I'd still love to write more. I was never able to put enough toward that goal as I've spent the whole past goddamn decade trapped in the world's longest and most soul-crushing PhD. That'll be done in the coming months, and I'm committed to reclaiming music in my life afterward. Hopefully the stars will align for the rest of the band too.

I 'd like a copy too but I live in Europe —

I would like a physical copy.

Just heard a Deadbeats song (Karabasan) and was reminded how amazing this band was. Please check them out you won't be disappointed.

Nice.
I just reread this whole thread! A lot has happened in this world since this EP came out, but the music remains the same. The Deadbeats tapped into a pure surf nerve. Sounds as exciting today as when I first heard them. It’s been great to know them and watch their musical ambitions widen and talent multiply. ¡Viva Los Deadbeats!

I think I have some of the Deadbeats CDs. Send me a message.
