Hey, got to tune in to the show yesterday! I really enjoyed it! it was cool to hear The Squires, I've never heard of them before, let alone know that the band was Neil Young's first. |

Here is the playlist from today's show - Here is the aircheck archive - the Reverb Hour begins about 10 minutes in - Next week is "freak week" at KFJC which gives me more freedom for programming. I will start the reverb hour a bit early - maybe at 1:30pm instead of 2pm. By 2pm, I plan to play a number of "rare" surf tracks from some CDs that legendary KFJC DJ Phil Dirt made for me from his collection. That's on December 18! |

For anyone also wanting to check out the series of takes on High Wall, it starts at about 35:35 into this section of the show (a different link than the segment above pointing to Phil Dirts rarities and whatnot.) Thanks for mentioning the 7 versions of High Wall. It was "freak week" at KFJC, a treat for the DJs when we can skip a lot of announcements and have almost no restrictions on programing (other than the FCC). I remember a blues DJ who once played 41 versions of "After Hours" on his freak week show so I thought I would try a fun repeat. The archives are only up for 2 weeks so some listeners make a copy of the archive mp3s to listen to them later...just saying. Thanks for listening! Coz |
