Sherlock Holmes and the Coils of Time -- yes? Though Eloi is clearly a reference to the one of two races as described by H.G. Wells in "The Time Machine". If you are a real Sherlockian geek like myself (not to be confused with the Holmesians) you'd have read all the pastiches that followed A.C. Doyle's retirement. Many of these make use of Mycroft, and more than one contains time travel as a plot device. The Eloi's are indeed from HG Wells, they were the simple race of humanoids that the Morlocks enslaved and feasted on.
