average audience at a typical Cads show was between 4-6 people (usually the same 4-6 people). Sounds like Squonky taped one of our more crowded gigs. And I have to say, it was great watching that again! I miss that black guitar...

Welcome to the forum Chris! You've got quite a few fans on here!

Count me in as a big fan of The Huntington Cads. They really had something special.

(BTW, "Forbidden Shore" is a cover of a song "Mind Reader" by a '60s British band The Johnny Howard Group. It was covered in the '60s by an American act, but I don't remember their name now - for some reason I think they were connected to Mike Curb and Davie Allan, though....)

I found the info: the band was called the Strangers, and the track is "Scrambler" on their "Motorcycles USA" album.

Also The Untamed Youth plays "Scrambler" in the Planet Mace record! Awesome version!

And, by the way...
Welcome Chris!!! You have some diehard fans here in Argentina!

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words and support! The Huntington Cads Historical Reenactment Society may still have some life in it yet, who knows? I never really thought we would ever play again, but those reunion shows were a lot of fun, and it was great seeing everyone. Thanks again!

Plus that Blonde guy with the funny glasses said he wanted to do more.

Squonky1 did some house cleaning and uploaded the videos he deleted. I've revised my playlist:

I can't for the life of me remember this tune!

Is it a Ritchie Blackmore-Outlaws number? We were doing a few early on.

Jeff, it's the Dakotas' "Magic Carpet" (written by George Martin - yes, THAT George Martin!) See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSd3aoCJ4CQ&feature=related

Sounds very nice as done by you!

I finally got around to watching these videos and man these guys where great. What an awesome band. I too dig them white shoes. I liked "Gonzales". And their version of "Besame Mucho" is nice too, but I really liked "Enchantment".

The Deadbeats

Chris Barfield posted this clip recently on his FB page and I can't get it out of mind! Saw them many times in the mid-90's and here we are 20 years later! Crazy how time flies. This is as good as it gets!!! So powerful and dynamic!

The Huntington Cads have such a great sound. I also really like SHAG's other band during the 90's, The Tiki Tones. Classic surf sounds all around.
