Permalink project vintage jag neck on Ebay

This guy must have really liked 80's kramer guitars... http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-FENDER-JAGUAR-NECK-1963_W0QQitemZ140231708244QQihZ004QQcategoryZ41423QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Gaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! That's terrible! I guess you could cut a piece of maple and fit it together. You'd have to give it a matching headstock paint job to conceal the nastiness, though. I've screwed up some guitars in my time, but only those that deserved it...

Someone needs a SERIOUS whipping for trying to do Woodwork 101 on this NecK!!!! Evil

Oh, I wasn't thinking of fixing it. I was thinking putting a potentially high quality neck on a quality aftermarket body and ending up with a player. I can't imagine it'll go for more than an aftermarket neck would cost. I could be wrong of course.

I'm thinking "Fender Swinger" project!

plus, I like this guys shirt.....

"You can't tell where you're going if you don't know where you've been"

It went for nearly $250! Too much I think. Unless a SG101er bought it, then "Good score!"

"You can't tell where you're going if you don't know where you've been"

Agreed! I was thinking $130-$150! Maybe the buyer will part it out! Keep an eye out for listings for vintage frets, a vintage fingerboard, and a vintage truss road! The Rod alone could go for $200 ROTFL

No matter who bought this neck it's still a BIG bummmmmmer to see such a hack job and mutilation to a vintage neck.
